Karen is a qualified solicitor who advises Member Organisations on all aspects of employment law, in particular in relation to business transfers and service provision changes. Since joining the EEF in January 2010 Karen has represented Member Companies in all types of claims before the Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunal. Over recent years Karen has also lectured in employment law at the University of Ulster Graduate School.
Lorraine has been with EEF since 2001. Lorraine has primary responsibility for training which includes working with Members to assess their training and developmental requirements, to help ensure employment law compliance and the understanding of fair and consistent application of Organisational policies and procedures. Lorraine’s experience in employment relations and Tribunal advocacy helps her to design and deliver more effective, relevant and practical training courses across a wide range of subjects.
Ian has been with EEF since 1988, and throughout this time he has advised and guided Members on a comprehensive range of issues involving HR practice and employment law, as well as representing them at the Industrial and Fair Employment Tribunals and the Industrial Court. He has extensive experience in the collective dimension of employment, advising Members and participating in collective bargaining and industrial relations procedures involving Trade Unions. Ian also sits as a panel member on Tribunals.
Peter has held the position of Director of EEF Northern Ireland since 1990. He is a qualified Barrister and practiced at the Northern Ireland Bar before joining EEF. Peter is an experienced advocate before the Tribunals. He has served on a number of private and public boards and has acted as a Social Security Tribunal Chairperson.
